Twelfth Annual "Buying Time" Dinner

With Special Guest:

Chris Evert

World Renowned Professional Tennis Champion, Philanthropist, ESPN Analyst & Cancer Survivor

Chris Evert is synonymous with tennis greatness, sportsmanship, leadership and bravery.  As world #1 for 7 years from 1974 to 1981, she won 18 Grand Slam singles titles and achieved a 90% highest-ever winning percentage which makes her arguably the best female tennis player in history. An equally impactful leader in the philanthropic world, Chris Evert Charities, Inc. is dedicated to helping children at risk due to parental drug and alcohol addiction in an effort to keep families together during treatment.  Additionally, Chris serves as Chair of the USTA Foundation Board of Directors which promotes tennis at all levels with a particular focus on underserved communities.  Perhaps her toughest match began in 2021 when Chris was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, the same disease that had taken her sister Jeanne’s life 2 years earlier.  Chris’ story of her and her sister’s fight with cancer is inspiring and consistent with her honorable and tenacious approach to everything in life.
